Apple has announced its next special event, revealing the date surprisingly early . Here’s a full schedule of what looks like happening when. Two new Watches are expected alongside the iPhone 15 series: Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra second-generation, all due to be unveiled on Tuesday, September 12. A new report says that one of the products planned for unveiling at the event, Apple Watch Series 9, is going to be built in a new way. And it’s pretty cool. Mark Gurman at Bloomberg reports that Apple is “testing the use of 3D printers to produce the steel chassis used by some of its upcoming smartwatches.” This is a very big change. Apple is starting out with a small percentage of the output, it seems, restricting the production to stainless-steel Apple Watches which, according to Gurman, account for 10% of the total. Garmin is about to add two impressive smartwatches to its portfolio, the Venu 3 and Venu 3s. They’re basically the same model but with two different targets in mind: men and women. They’re also the follow-ups to the Venu 2 and Venu 2s , which made their debut on the market two years ago. Although we don’t know when exactly the Venu 3 and Venu 3s will be announced, we do know what they look like courtesy to MySmartPrice . As you might expect from products with a $179,990 price difference, there's quite a gap in functionality between what you can do with the H76 Smart Bracelet and the Tag Heuer Connected watch. Surprisingly, the H76 claims to offer heart rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen measurement — features you'd usually only expect in a high-end smartwatch. Only the Apple Watch Series 6 and up, for example, can measure blood oxygen, and not even the top models can measure blood pressure without accessories.  However, according to the product specifications, the H76 only has an SC7A20 triaxial sensor, a type of acceleration sensor that takes care of movement-based metrics like step counting, distance, and calorie burn. It doesn't have any sensors for tracking blood flow through the wrist, which is what most smartwatches use to calculate heart rate and blood oxygen, or estimate blood pressure. Citizen is temporarily suspending sales of its second-generation CZ Smart smartwatch , which it first announced at CES 2023 and subsequently launched on May 1. Although the smartwatch has been on the market for nearly three months, Citizen says it has “recently identified a technical issue that is negatively affecting the user experience.”  The company’s statement, in an email, comes a few weeks after the watchmaker sent out test units to product reviewers, including myself. I have had a lackluster experience with the Gen-2 CZ Smart and have been cataloging the bugs I’ve run into. I shared my feedback with Citizen earlier this week. The issues include a laggy interface, poor battery life, inaccurate heart rate data, inaccurate sleep tracking, the watch freezing on specific screens, and Citizen’s proprietary YouQ features not working.
