Mobvoi appears to finally be approaching the launch of its long-awaited TicWatch Pro 5, as the company is unleashing a campaign of teasers. On Twitter, Mobvoi has kicked off the “High Five Pro 5” campaign, which is a contest that will end with a winner getting a free TicWatch Pro 5 – Mobvoi directly confirmed the name on Twitter, unsurprisingly. Through the contest posts, Mobvoi has shown the TicWatch 5 Pro from the front with its usual rugged design, as well as from the side, where we can see a new power button and top button layout that’s similar to Google’s Pixel Watch. The company has also placed a teaser on its website homepage , but the page that it directs to is currently broken. As previously promised , Huawei has officially brought in its premium smartwatch, the Watch Ultimate, to the Malaysian market. The wearable launched yesterday alongside the brand’s latest smartphones, the flagship Huawei P60 and the Mate X3 foldable, as well as several other new products . In case you missed our previous coverage regarding the device, the newly launched Watch Ultimate sports a zirconium-based liquid metal case, along with a ceramic bezel and rear case, 2.3 mm sapphire glass screen protection. Additionally, the wearable complies with ISO 22810:2010 and EN 13319 standards, and is also rated at 10 ATM in terms of water resistance. One thing to note is that Huawei is only bringing in the Voyage Blue variant of the wearable to Malaysia, which comes with titanium alloy straps. Yesterday, Huawei conducted a launch event in Munich where it announced the Huawei P60 Pro smartphone and the Mate X3 foldable phone. The brand also launched new smartwatches at the event. Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 5 series last year with a suite of health sensors, including everything it needed to detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) like the Apple Watch. However, it wasn't allowed to do that until now. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared Samsung to provide AFib monitoring on its current and upcoming wearables. The way Samsung goes about detecting heart irregularities differs from Apple. The Apple Watch runs occasional heart rhythm checks and will report if anything seems amiss. Samsung's approach is more like Fitbit—the device takes continuous heart rate and rhythm readings and alerts the user after several anomalous measurements.
