Amazfit recently unveiled its first dedicated running smartwatches, the Amazfit Cheetah and Amazfit Cheetah Pro.
The Amazfit Cheetah series has MaxTrack, its proprietary dual-band circularly-polarised GPS antenna which can provide positioning that is 99.5% as accurate as a professional gold standard GPS locator, by picking up the maximum amount of satellite signals and minimising multi-path interference caused by tall buildings, high trees or cloudy skies.
For users in select countries, the Amazfit Cheetah series have the Zepp Coach AI Chat feature in the Zepp app for a short demo period. Combining the power of generative AI and applied large language model (LLM), the Zepp Coach AI Chat can recognise the user's natural language descriptions as input via voice or typed command, and offer easy-to-understand answers to sports-related questions.
The Amazfit Cheetah series come with a durable and lightweight fiber-reinforced polymer frame, a responsive button and operation crown for easy control. For the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, there is a titanium alloy bezel for extra durability. Both smartwatches also have AMOLED displays that can reach a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits.
While the Amazfit Cheetah Pro sports a 1.45-inch screen, the Amazfit Cheetah has a 1.39-inch screen. The Amazfit Cheetah Pro is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth phone calls, which the Amazfit Cheetah lacks.
The Amazfit Cheetah Pro and Amazfit Cheetah (Round) are now available at Amazfit stores, Amazon and AliExpress. The Amazfit Cheetah (Square) will be available soon.
The Amazfit Cheetah Pro is priced from US$299.99 while the Amazfit Cheetah (Round) is priced from US$229.99. Prices may vary across markets.
